Props to Cliff for getting both songs that were played in every show of the tour, and three of four songs that were played only once each.

Played every night: Mr. Charlie, Playin' in the Band

Played once: Big River (5-13), Johnny B. Goode (4-17), Hey Bo Diddley (5-23), Black Peter (5-24)

Interesting about Mr Charlie...one of my favs is from 8-6-71, the famed AUD version, but also, it's one of the tunes that shines via the clean RT version (eg, when some would suggest the more famous H2H does not sound better on the RTs disk).

I don't know how to describe that almost funky, choppy blues-esque sounding little ditty, but I thought the 71 versions were better than 72 (based on relatively little analysis, mind you)...with so many to choose from, now, and even moreso in eight months, you all will have to let me know if the spring 72 ones eclipse the summer of 71 versions...
